I had been thinking of just doing it in plain Jane concrete. He suggested that I look at some of the driveways that he poured. When it comes to concrete art, this is the man to go to. We decided to do a 2-pour stamped concrete driveway with borders and ribbons. You will have to see it to believe it. My driveway is truly a work of art. The gentlemen that work alongside John were all pretty amazing as well. If you are considering getting a driveway done anytime soon, get in line for John Garrett. He is well worth the wait. Since January 2025, we have been enjoying our new driveway and front patio done by Broward County Concrete, Inc. We are extremely happy with their work. John pays particular attention to detail and when not doing the work himself, oversees any work done by his crew. The slope is perfect and everything drains properly. He helped us choose a pattern and color with an artist’s eye. It complements the house and roof perfectly and is the envy of our neighbors. He even beveled the edges which again, proves his attention to detail. The sealer is shiny and keeps its look. He also repoured our roadside sidewalk. John and Laurie were very easy to work with. Except for the stress one feels having one’s front yard dug up, we never felt stressed about their work. That is a real plus! We would definitely recommend this company 100%.

Our personal story took a dramatic turn when my husband was hospitalized suddenly for 2 ½ months just before they were to start our project in late September. Having seen driveways that they had poured in our neighborhood and spoken to the house owners, we felt so confident in their work that at one point I told Laurie that if necessary, to “just install the driveway as if it were your own.” However, Laurie juggled the schedule and delayed our project until we were home. They began work 12/30/24 and finished by 1/13/2025. The pleasure of our “porch chats” with friends has been enhanced and made more delightful with such a beautiful environment.
